Trophy Club

The Trophy Club is an exclusive on-site, air-conditioned tent that is conveniently located behind the second and fifth tee with comfortable seating and televisions for live U.S. Open coverage. Trophy Club tickets are needed to access this tent. Food and beverage is available for additional purchase. Sample menu items include made-to-order omelets, scrambled eggs, bacon and fresh fruit in the morning and Philly cheese steak, grilled chicken and blackened mahi mahi sandwiches along with fish tacos in the afternoon. Coffee, soda, beer, wine and mixed drinks are available. Acceptable forms of payment are: U.S. dollars, travelers checks, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Upscale, air-conditioned restrooms are conveniently located adjacent to the tent.

TV Viewing

A 12' x 16' television screen will be located adjacent to the clubhouse and the Practice Area.

Average June temperatures range from a high of 90 degrees to a low of 50 degrees. Please remember to wear sun protection: sunscreen, hats and sunglasses.

Weather Warning

The USGA will have meteorology staff on site monitoring the possibility of inclement weather. If inclement weather is approaching, special "weather warning" signs like the one to the left will be posted on leaderboards around the course. When the sign appears, spectators are advised to take immediate precautions (including clearing grandstands) PRIOR to play being suspended. In the event of a weather warning, please avoid: open areas, hilltops, high places, isolated trees, golf carts and wire fences. If play is suspended, which will be indicated by one prolonged air-horn blast, please close your umbrella and seek shelter. In the event of a suspension of play, grandstands will be cleared immediately.

Will Call

There will be two Will Call facilities conveniently located on site for spectators to drop off and pick up tickets. The Main Will Call will be located at the Main Admission Gate and Will Call 2 will be located at the USGA/Media Admission Gate. Photo identification will be required to pick up any tickets left at Will Call. Will Call facilities cannot be accessed by vehicles at anytime.

Ticket/Credential License Agreement

The United States Golf Association (the "USGA") has established the following terms and conditions under this Ticket/Credential License Agreement (this "Agreement") for the use of "Tickets" to the 2008 United States Open Championship (the "Championship") to be held at Torrey Pines Golf Course, San Diego, Calif. from June 9, 2008 through June 15, 2008 and including any day or days as may be occasioned by a postponement or play-off of any round or rounds. Any individual possessing a valid and legal Ticket and/or Credential shall be deemed a "Ticket Holder" for the purposes of this Agreement. This Agreement outlines the rights and responsibilities of a Ticket Holder and applies to the sale of all Tickets including sales over the Internet. Additional copies of this Agreement may be obtained by calling (800) 698-0661 or by going to the USGA's Web site at www.usga.org.

Please read this entire Agreement carefully. By accepting a Ticket, a Ticket Holder certifies that he or she has accepted each of the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement.

1. Delivery of Tickets.

(a) Upon receiving any and all Tickets, the Ticket Holder is solely responsible for safeguarding all Tickets. Tickets are valuable and should be treated like currency. Tickets that are lost, stolen, forgotten, mutilated or destroyed will not be replaced. Tickets that are unreadable due to mutilation of any kind will not be accepted for admission.
(b) The Ticket Holder acknowledges and agrees that he or she (i) is responsible for any and all Tickets he or she gives to any third party and (ii) will notify any such third party of the existence and applicability of this Agreement. Any such third party receiving any Ticket or Tickets will be deemed to have accepted each of the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement.

2. Admission.

(a) The Ticket is a revocable license. The Ticket may be revoked without refund or other consideration and the Ticket Holder may be removed from the Championship for (i) failure to comply with any term of the Ticket and/or this Agreement; (ii) failure to obey any posted signs and/or instructions of the Championship marshals and officials and/or (iii) acting in a dangerous or disorderly manner. The license granted by the Ticket may also be terminated by tendering to the Ticket Holder the purchase price of the Ticket. The Ticket Holder has the sole responsibility for complying (or causing any applicable third party to comply) with the Championship Code of Conduct outlined below, as well as all of the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement.
(b) All disputes concerning a Ticket to the Championship and/or the Ticket Holder's rights thereunder and all other disputes and matters whatsoever arising under, in connection with or incident to this Agreement (including but not limited to disputes relating to Ticket orders and attendance by a Ticket Holder at the Championship and all other matters covered by this Agreement) shall be governed by New Jersey law and shall be litigated, if at all, in and before a court of competent jurisdiction located in New Jersey, to the exclusion of the courts of any other county, state or country.
(c) Anyone attempting to alter or reproduce the Ticket in whole or in part will be prosecuted under the law. Resale or attempted resale of the Ticket at a price higher than face value of the Ticket is grounds for seizure or automatic cancellation without refund or other compensation. Ticket sales on or near the grounds associated with the Championship at any price are prohibited. Tickets sold on or near the grounds associated with the Championship are subject to revocation or cancellation without refund or compensation. The Ticket may not be used for or in advertising, promotions (including contests and sweepstakes), or other trade or commercial purposes without the express written consent of the USGA. The Ticket Holder is admitted on the condition that he or she agrees not to transmit or sell or aid in transmitting or selling any description, account, picture or reproduction of the Championship. In addition to all other rights and/or remedies available to the USGA, breach of the foregoing will automatically terminate the Ticket without refund or other compensation.
(d) Each person, regardless of age, must have a Ticket for admission to the Championship.
(e) Dates and times of the Championship are subject to change at any time, either before or during the Championship. The USGA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to delay, postpone or cancel the Championship for any reason, including weather conditions and safety related issues. There will be norefunds of Tickets as a result of a change in the date or time of the Championship or for any other reasonunless a Ticket Holder qualifies for a refund under the Cancellation Policy set forth below.
(f)  The USGA is the only authorized seller of Tickets. Tickets obtained from sources other than representatives of the USGA, including but not limited to auction sites, may be lost, stolen or counterfeit and in such cases will not be honored. In addition, Tickets obtained in contravention of the terms of the Ticket and/or this Agreement will not be honored. The USGA has no responsibility for Tickets purchased throughan unauthorized source. Ticket Holders in possession of Tickets that have been reported as lost or stolen are subject to removal from the Championship and may be referred to local authorities for investigation.
  1. Accessibility to Persons with Disabilities.The USGA does not discriminate on the basis of disability and will, subject to availability, makeaccommodations for ticketed individuals with disabilities.
  2. Postponement and Cancellation Policy.
(a) Ticket Holder acknowledges and agrees that (i) any and all decisions relating to a cancellation and/or postponement of the Championship shall be made by the USGA, in its sole discretion, and (ii) Ticket Holder shall adhere to such decisions in connection with its obligations under this Agreement.
(b) There will be no on-site refunds for the cancelled Championship. Refunds, if available, will be made bythe USGA only to the Ticket Holder.

5. Championship Code of Conduct.

 

(a)  The following is a list of disallowed and restricted items and activities within the Championship: cellphones (including cell phones with photographic capabilities), PDAs and/or other Portable Email Devices,noise-producing electronic devices, cameras and/or camcorders (other than Monday through Wednesday for personal non commercial photographic use only and without their cases), bags larger than 8?W x 8?H x 8?D in their natural state, cases and/or covers (such as chair or umbrella covers), signs, posters and/or banners,televisions and radios, food and/or beverages, containers and/or coolers, pets (other than service animals), lawn and/or folding armchairs, bicycles, ladders, metal-spiked golf shoes, weapons (regardless of permit, butnot limited to firearms or knives) and/or any other items deemed unlawful or dangerous by the USGA and/or Championship Security Personnel, in their sole discretion.

(b)  For security or other purposes consistent with the license granted by the Ticket, the Ticket Holder consents to the reasonable inspection of his/her person and property before entering and/or during the Championship. The USGA reserves the right to refuse admission to the Championship or eject any person refusing such procedures or where a search produces contents or items deemed unlawful, dangerous or prohibited by the USGA, in its sole discretion. Disallowed or improperly used permitted items will be confiscated. Permitted items left unattended will be removed by security personnel for future pick-up. The USGA is not obligated to hold any item for a period of time longer than the end of play on the day the item was confiscated by the USGA, nor is the USGA liable for the value of any confiscated and/or unattended item. Any Ticket Holder refusing inspection or otherwise refusing to abide by the USGA's rules and safety regulations may be denied entry to the Championship or may be removed from the Championship, all without a refund to such Ticket Holder. Any Ticket Holder found with illegal items may be referred to local authorities for investigation.
(c) As a condition to receiving a Ticket and entry to the Championship, each Ticket Holder grants permission to the USGA, the City of San Diego and The Friends of Torrey Pines, LLC and/or their respective agents, their third party assigns and/or grantees to utilize in perpetuity the holder's image, likeness and/or voice incidental to any live or recorded television or video display or other transmission or form of reproduction in whole or in part of the Championship, without compensation.
(d)  In addition to the foregoing, the USGA reserves the right to refuse admission to or remove any Ticket Holder who (i) fails to comply with the Championship Code of Conduct; (ii) in the opinion of the USGA, is disruptive to the Championship or the enjoyment, comfort or safety of other spectators or (iii) breaches any of the terms or conditions in this Agreement.
(e) A "no autograph" policy is in effect throughout Championship week. Spectators should not approach a player for an autograph from the time immediately preceding the player's starting time up to and including the player's completion of his round, including the time when the player is at the Practice Range and Practice Green or en route to his first tee. This policy applies to Practice Rounds as well as Championship Rounds. Violation of this policy by the Ticket Holder will automatically terminate this license without refund or other compensation.

6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability and Scope of this Agreement.

(a) The Ticket Holder expressly assumes all risks incidental to and associated with the attendance at the Championship for which the ticket entitles the Ticket Holder to attend. By virtue of the Ticket Holder's attendance at the Championship, the Ticket Holder agrees and understands all risks incidental to and associated with his/her attendance, including but not limited to being struck by a golf ball or golf club, and hereby waives, releases and discharges the USGA, the City of San Diego and The Friends of Torrey Pines, LLC and affiliated companies and vendors, and participating players, and all employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, and/or volunteers associated with the Championship, and understands and agrees to hold harmless all of the persons, associations and entities listed above, from any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury or property loss or damage including all costs and expenses, which result from the Ticket Holder's attendance at the Championship. It is further understood and agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is binding on the Ticket Holder's heirs and assigns.
(b) Tickets to the Championship are sold by the USGA on an "AS IS" basis without warranties or representations of any kind, either express or implied, other than those warranties that are implied by and incapable of exclusion, restriction or modification under New Jersey law. IN NO EVENT WILL THE USGA OR ANY OTHER PERSON INVOLVED IN ANY WAY WITH THE USGA'S TICKETING PROGRAM BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, CLAIMED BY ANY TICKET HOLDER IN CONNECTION WITH ANY OF THE MATTERS COVERED BY THIS AGREEMENT, whether for breach of contract, tortious behavior, negligence, or any other cause of action, other than the exclusive remedies expressly outlined in this Agreement.
(c)  This Agreement together with the Ticket contains the entire agreement of the parties with respect to the matters outlined in this Agreement, and supersedes all previous written or oral agreements or understandings between the parties with respect to such subject matter.
