We received an update from the 2021 U.S. Open Championship Office today. Read their email below for more information regarding fan allowance and tickets for the 2021 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course:

Thank you once again for your purchase of 2021 U.S. Open Championship tickets. We appreciate your ongoing support and enthusiasm as we navigate a rapidly changing environment.
 
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, we anticipated a return of the record crowds we saw in 2008 greeting the players on the South Course at Torrey Pines. Unfortunately, in consultation with the State of California, City of San Diego and San Diego County and consistent with current health and safety guidelines, the total number of daily fans permitted on-site at this year’s championship will be limited.
 
As a result, all current ticket holders will receive a refund to the credit card used at the time of purchase and should anticipate receiving a refund within five to seven business days.
 
Subsequently, a limited number of gallery tickets for the championship will be made available to fans who meet the following state and local health and safety guidelines:
• State of California residents must show proof that vaccination against COVID-19 has occurred at least 14 days prior to the championship or that a negative test result has been received;
• It will be mandatory for all out-of-state fans to provide proof that vaccination against COVID-19 has occurred at least 14 days prior to the championship

All interested and qualified fans will need to complete this form by Thursday, April 22 to be eligible to purchase tickets.

U.S. Open tickets will be available for Thursday through Sunday only and will be released in three phases beginning with USGA Members (4/26), those who originally purchased 2021 U.S. Open tickets using an American Express Card (4/28) and followed by Victory Club members (4/30). Ticket sales will begin at 9:00 a.m. (PDT) each day.

While we are confident in our ability to provide a safe championship experience for everyone in attendance, we recognize that health and safety protocols are subject to change based on California State and San Diego County guidelines and will continue to adjust our safety protocols and provide additional updates as necessary.
